About Me
I’ve been a qualified complementary health therapist for over 20 years, but used the skills mainly for my family and friends. Discovering shamanic healing, and the profound effect it’s had on me and others, changed that. I’d found the medicine I’d always known in my heart to exist, and I now have the privilege of being a practitioner of shamanic healing and Reiki.
For me, shamanic healing has helped heal layers of family and personal hurts, dissolving the anger, frustration, fear and grief. Things still arise of course, and I now know that if I’m triggered by something or someone that another layer is simply showing up to be healed, but shamanic healing has brought me a sense of being home, both in my body and in this life. And it has had the added bonus of clearing the eczema that had affected me since a teenager.
I’m also a mother, grandmother and writer, and have worked at many things from youth and community work through freelance journalism and traffic & travel editor to PR and communications. But the main thread that has woven through my life has been healing, and I was lucky enough to go to Peru with Spirit of the Inca in 2025 to spend two weeks with shamans in the sacred valley. It was a journey I’d always wanted to make, but nothing could’ve prepared me - not just for the beautiful land, kind people and heart-centred daily ceremonies – it felt as if in that short period of time, lifetimes of wounds were healed, released and reclaimed, leaving a deep sense of peace.
I continue to feel grateful for my own healing and to be able to work alongside others as they take their own healing journey.
